Student Pastorates

Student Pastorates are at the heart of student ministry at Kings – if Kings is your church in Durham, pastorates are the first place to get involved.

Each pastorate is a group of 20-60 students that meet together midweek, three or four times all together as a big group, and at other times in smaller cell groups.  They are for students who want to get involved with Kings church, to grow in their faith, and to grow in their gifts and ministry.

Pastorates provide a place for students to participate in Christian community in a context smaller than the Sunday meetings but bigger than a cell: a place for worship, learning and fellowship.  The cell groups within a pastorate provide the opportunity for small group discipleship, bible study, and accountability.

Join a Pastorate

This year we will have pastorate groups meeting on Thursdays in the Viaduct and on the Hill, and a Central Wednesday pastorate with cell groups spread across the city.

The easiest way to get involved is to identify which pastorate is most suitable for you dependant on location and day of the week then get in touch with Phil (students@kcd.org.uk) or the pastorate team directly.
