NE1 Garden Projects - Day Five
Posted by Stephen Light on 28 Jul 2006 in the small hours
Daily reports from Stephen Light and the team on the NE1 summer youth mission.

We started off the day with a barbeque for the team to say think you for such a brilliant job this week. We feel that all our conversations have been blessed this week and we thank God for that. It has been a great opportunity to serve many local people and show something of God's love for them.
Today was great. Again we did more than we hoped for and managed to finish four gardens. It was fantastic to help Ellen, she is such a great character. It was also a real pleasure to create a plant border for Corrine and Dennis and they kept us well supplied with cans of pop and ice creams. And finally it was a real privilege to dig over Dennis' garden so that he can have some turf laid. He was shot in the back during the gulf war but is facing the challenges of his new life with great courage. Thank you Duncan for letting us do something for you.
That's it! I'm off to do a little light weeding in my own garden. Please remember to keep praying for all of those that we helped this week.
God bless.
Stephen
