Daily reports from Stephen Light and the NE1 team.

NE1 Gardens - Day 2 The teamWow, what an amazing day! It was fantastic to have so may young people along today, the group was almost doubled in number and they all worked brilliantly clearing gardens and speaking with the people that we met. We split into three groups, one to Mr & Mrs Dresser, one to Dolly and one digging over Rosemary's garden from yesterday. >From clearing Dolly's garden we spoke with her next door neighbour and cut back her garden hedge, then Demi and Amy over the road. From there we met Bill and cut back the trees at the back of his garden, next we met Joan who lives opposite and cleared away overgrown shrubs for her. Then we met Joyce and her dog Sam, who introduced us to Beryl, who then introduce us to Ken. It was a great sense of community with people coming out of there homes and being blessed by the team clearing and cutting back overgrown gardens. In the hot weather we were kept supplied with water, ice creams and tea. Thank you to everyone! It was a great day and we felt that God was real and present in our work and conversations, with lots of prayer point from those that we met. Fantastic! By the way, Pete has gone missing...... not Mr Mitchell, but the frog from Rosemary's garden. Lets hope that he returns as the weather cools. More tomorrow Day One
