Goodbyes from the Interns
I'd just like to say a huge thank you to King's Church Durham for the opportunities I've been given this year. It's been such an amazing blessing to be part of this church, this year and the 3 years before. Let's continue to build community and live for God! Oh, and have nice coffee.

Well, as the dust of the internship begins to settle, I just want to say thank you to everyone who I've had the pleasure of working alongside. It's been a year of growth, intensity, learning, pain, hard graft and ultimately drawing closer to God and that has been in part because of the fantastic family that King's is. This week has been a great opportunity to start consolidating and reflecting on the year, and I've come to the conclusion that it's the best thing I could've ever done with a year! Thank you all.

There doesn't seem to be much else to say except thank you! Thank you too all the staff and interns for their support during this amazing year of growth and discovery. Thank you to everyone in the church community who have ministered to us and nurtured us. Thank you everyone who's been praying for us during this year. And thanks to God Almighty, who does amazing things with jars of clay! I can't wait to start working on King's Staff in September, and am looking forward to seeing what more God can do...

It is sad saying goodbye but as we learnt in our last teaching session of the year (!) that this is not a goodbye to all of you at King's but a 'see you later' as we have the amazing hope of the resurrection where we will all meet again to worship the Lamb forever! I want to say a really big thank you to all those who've prayed for us, thought of us when we've been away and when we've not, for those who've taken on all of us at once to feed us and those of you who are reading the intern log and have been faithfully keeping up with what we're doing! I'm so grateful to the Lord for all of you. It has been a privilege to be a part of the King's Church Durham community, I have changed so much, God has been unbelievably faithful and spoken to me about what it means to be joyful in him and live life to its fullness in him and also what it is to live in his love. I will take all of these things with me as I continue to go deeper into God to pass on the things he's been teaching me and he will continue to teach me as a result of the things I've experienced. May the grace of God be with you and guard you in Christ Jesus, see you later,
Nicola.
So the Internship is over and this is my farewell. As I move on to new places I shall never forget the amazing community I have become a part of at Kings! Kings has been a place of spiritual growth and unique opportunities as well as a lot of fun with a loving family! So thank you congregation for all your support and I’m sure I shall see you again in the future...

Thank you for your prayers and support this year. I’ve loved being an intern and have learnt and experienced so much. I’m looking forward to serving King’s as a ‘normal’(!) member of the congregation in the coming months/years and can’t wait to see what God does through the next lot of interns. See you in September :o)

Your YOUTH are great! There are disciples and leaders among them and it’s been my privilege to be part of the team who lead their groups. Thank you for letting me be an intern and be a part of the church family. Bring on Studentdom next year...

Thank you to everyone in Kings for the opportunities I have had this year, for the love and support and encouragement, and free meals and prayer. King's has helped me grow in faith and knowledge and love and I am not the same person I was a year ago, or in fact 4 years ago when I first came here. I am so grateful to everyone who has modelled loving Jesus wholeheartedly to me. King's is a wonderful, wonderful group of people and I am very privileged to have been part of it, and look forward to being involved in the future. I can't thank this group of people enough!
