Music

When the church gathers, we bring the worship of our lives to focus with songs and other contributions.

We have a large team of musicians and singers who serve the congregation in preparing and leading sung worship. Our worship coordinator, Chris Juby, is a member of UK songwriting collection Resound Worship.

Songs

We sing hymns and contemporary songs from a wide range of sources. Songs are selected on the basis of their theological, poetic and musical merit, and the overall balance of our repertoire.

Here’s a Spotify playlist of many of the songs we use at our Sunday meetings (albeit seriously lacking in hymns!):

Joining the Team

We’re always open to new musicians and singers in our worship bands. In broad terms, we look for depth of discipleship, commitment to the church and musical skill.

You need to be:

  1. A worshipper of Christ
  2. Committed to Kings
  3. Convinced of the value of corporate worship
  4. Able to play the songs we use
  5. Able to play from chord sheets (here’s an example)
  6. Willing to practise and learn the songs
  7. Willing to attend worship meetings twice a term
  8. Ideally involved in a Kings cell group

If you think you meet those requirements, please get in touch with Chris Juby to arrange an informal audition.
