Information about Online Giving at Kings
We provide two different methods of paying online at Kings: the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) online giving service, and Google Checkout. We use CAF for donations from UK taxpayers, because this service adds on the Gift Aid automatically. We use Google Checkout for non-Gift Aid donations, because their charges are lower than other comparable online payment options (including CAF).
Details of charges
Donations with Gift Aid via CAF
CAF claim back 28p in Gift Aid for every £1 given. From December 2008 CAF charges will be 4.5% of the donation (plus VAT). This is equal to 5.3p per £1.
Here is an example of this for a donation of £20:

Donations via Google Checkout
Google Checkout charges 1.5% plus 15p per donation, plus VAT. (For comparison, PayPal charges 3.4% plus 20p). Google checkout also allows donations from anywhere in the world.
