Leaders
Mark Bonnington
Senior Leader
Mark taught New Testament for more than ten years at St John's College in Durham after completing a PhD on Galatians in Nottingham. He leads Kings and has a particular passion for preaching from Scripture. He is married to Ruth, a GP in Gateshead, and has three children who are working hard on bringing up their parents.
Ian Creasey
Ian studied Applied Physics and Electronics at Durham before training as a Chartered Accountant. He works for an engineering company in Cramlington, and is married to Tina, a teacher. They have two sons.
Katherine Jacklin
Katherine is a Durham theology graduate and married to Seymour. She works as a Chaplain and RE teacher at Durham High School.
Iris Prizeman
Iris was geography teacher, who moved in her retirement to Durham to be near her family and to get involved in church. She is involved in the local Lydia Fellowship and runs a B&B in Plawsworth.
David Redfern
David is married to Tina and has two children. He works in industry for a design and development company and brings those skills to the Finance and Administration of the church.
Christiana Rose
Christiana is a Durham graduate and married to Alan. They have three children. She works with children learning English as an additional language and particularly loves anyone who is not English!
Staff
Paul Burgess
Mission and Community Work
Paul trained in Family, Youth and Community Work at Moorlands College and joined the Kings staff team in 2008. He is married to Tree, a doctor, and they have recently had their first child.
Jo Calcutt
Administration
Jo is working part-time for Kings while finishing a PhD in Biology. Before coming to Durham she worked in research administration in Oxford. Jo is also on the International Students Team and leads the Ustinov Bible Study.
Tim Dixon
Pastoral Assistant
Having completed our Internship year in 2008-09 Tim has joined the Kings staff team to help Phil with Student Ministry and with activities at our Appleby Rooms venue.
Chris Juby
Worship, Media and Arts
Chris moved to Durham to work for Kings in 2005 having previously trained with Ichthus Christian Fellowship in London. He was the student worker for four years and now focusses on worship, media and developing the Arts. He married Hannah in 2008. Chris is also a freelance web developer.
Ruth Perrin
Training and Development
Ruth is a history graduate and teacher who has worked with both YWAM and UCCF. Until Summer 2006 she ran Transform: City, a Leeds-based training programe for graduates, with a vision for impacting society. Ruth's ministry is in teaching and training, particularly working with young adults.
Phil Trainer
Student Ministry
Phil is a Durham graduate and trained with Kings on the 06-07 Internship year. He has been on staff since 2007 and took on responsibility for student work in 2009. Phil has recently got married to Robyn.
