Mark Bonnington

Mark Bonnington

Senior Leader

Mark taught New Testament for more than ten years at St John's College in Durham after completing a PhD on Galatians in Nottingham. He leads Kings and has a particular passion for preaching from Scripture. He is married to Ruth, a GP in Gateshead, and has three children who are working hard on bringing up their parents.

Ian studied Applied Physics and Electronics at Durham before training as a Chartered Accountant. He works for an engineering company in Cramlington, and is married to Tina, a teacher. They have two sons.

Katherine is a Durham theology graduate and married to Seymour.

Iris Prizeman

Iris Prizeman

Iris was geography teacher, who moved in her retirement to Durham to be near her family and to get involved in church. She is involved in the local Lydia Fellowship and runs a B&B in Plawsworth.

Christiana Rose

Christiana Rose

Christiana is a Durham graduate and married to Alan. They have three children. She works with children learning English as an additional language and particularly loves anyone who is not English!

Administration

Elena studied Interior Architecture in Manchester before moving to Durham to do the Kings Internship in 2008-09. She took up the role of Administrator in the summer of 2010 and has recently started an online gift shop called Bean Design.

Melody Briggs

Melody Briggs

Training

Melody has been involved in theological education for over twenty years and is currently working on a PhD in Biblical Studies. Her husband, Richard, is a lecturer in theology, and they have three lively children.

Paul Burgess

Paul Burgess

Mission and Community Work

Paul worked for 16 years in production management and then retrained for Christian ministry. He has an MA in Applied Theology, Family, Youth and Community Work from Moorlands College and joined the Kings staff team in 2008. He is married to Tree, a doctor, and they have two young boys.

Miranda Byers

Miranda Byers

Youth and Children's Ministry

Miranda recently moved from the States to Durham so that her husband, Andy, could begin a PhD at the University. They have four children. Her background includes work with children, youth, and college students, missions, administration, and a degree in Early Childhood Education.

Having completed our Internship year in 2008-09, Tim joined the Kings staff team in 2009 and is involved in a variety of projects and activities with Kings. He is also starting an MA in Theology and Ministry at Cranmer Hall.

Chris Juby

Chris Juby

Worship, Media and Arts

Chris moved to Durham to work for Kings in 2005. He was the student worker for four years and now focusses on worship, media and developing the Arts. He married Hannah in 2008. Chris is also a freelance web developer and writes the Twitter Bible Summary.

Ruth Perrin

Ruth Perrin

Training and Development

Ruth is a history graduate and teacher who moved to Durham in 2006 to work for King's where she is responsible for training and development. She has an MA in Theology and Ministry and is currently working on a PhD, studying how 'Generation Y' read the Bible. She has been involved in mission, discipleship and Bible teaching for 15 years and has a particular vision for young adults. She enjoys movies, gardening, loves travelling and writes the cloudofwitnessses website.

Student Minister

Phil is a Durham graduate and trained with Kings on the 06-07 Internship year. He has been on staff since 2007, taking responsibility for student work in 2009. He is also studying an MA at Cranmer Hall. Phil married Robyn in 2009 and they love enjoying adventures, pets, projects and dreaming together.

Faye Collins

Faye Collins

Faye is a Durham Physics graduate who completed the Kings Internship in 2011. She is spending another year at Kings working as a ministry trainee, where she will be undertaking further theological study and focusing on developing skills in mission, project management and leadership.

Pete Gower

Pete Gower

Pete is a Durham Law graduate who hails from the roundabout-filled Milton Keynes (the City of Dreams) and completed the internship programme last year. He is undertaking the ministry trainee programme this year specialising in preaching & teaching and pastoral ministry as well as continuing with further theological study. He loves sports, adventures, reading and laughing.

Chris Morgan

Chris Morgan

Chris has just completed the 2010-11 internship and is now specialising in Worship and Student Ministry as part of the Ministry Trainee Programme. He was born in Reading but is now an adopted Yorkshire man. He loves playing and watching sport, and is starting to take up videography.
